What's the best way to find music for my project?

The quickest ways to find the right track on Slipstream — filters, AI tools, playlists, and more.

Four Ways to Find Music Fast

1. Browse by Genre or Mood

Use the Genres and Moods sections to browse curated collections. Great when you know the vibe but not the specific sound.

2. Use Filters

Filter by BPM, duration, vocals/instrumental, and more from the search results page. Combine filters to narrow down quickly.

3. AI Tools (fastest)

  • AI Search — Describe what you need in plain language — "tense cinematic strings with a slow build" or "upbeat summer road trip." Slipstream understands natural language, not just keywords. Use filters to narrow by BPM, duration, mood, genre, and more.

  • AI Soundtrack a Video — Upload your video and let Slipstream find the music. Our system analyzes pacing, mood, and scene changes to surface matched tracks — where you can preview against picture — automatically. Find it here.

  • Slipstream MCP — Are you a content team working in AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT or Google Gemini? Connect to Slipstream via our MCP integration and have your agent of choice search our catalog. Learn more here.

4. Save as You Go

  • Like tracks by clicking the heart icon — access them later from Profile → Likes

  • Create playlists to organize music by project or mood
