Still seeing "Subscribe" prompts after signing up

Why you might still see subscription prompts after signing up, and how to fix it instantly.

Written by Dan Demole

Why this might happen

If you subscribed while you had a Slipstream tab open from before adding your payment method, that tab may still be showing an older version of your account — one that thinks you're on a free plan.

This is why clicking a download or trying to cancel can show a "Subscribe" prompt, but then clicking it says "You already have an active subscription." Your account is fine — the page just hasn't caught up yet.

How to fix it

Log out and log back in, or do a hard refresh of the page:

  • Mac: Cmd + Shift + R

  • Windows / Linux: Ctrl + Shift + R

This reloads your account status. Once you're back in, downloads, cancellation, and all subscription features will work normally.

Note: You don't need to make any changes to your account, payment method, or subscription — they're all active and in good standing.
